Balance, Emphasis, Harmony, Variety, Movement/Rhythm, Proportion c. Interpret the artwork- what is the mood? What feeling is communicated? What ideas are represented? What is the story being told? d. Judge the artwork- What do you think of the artwork? Is is successful? Why or why not? Support your opinions with evidence or criteria. (Art skills, meaning, creative, realistic) 2-CRITIQUE an older piece of your worka.For my critique I choose my watercolor piece. I used several washes and colors to make this piece. It has a lot of bright colors and i made it look like a storybook. b. It is very bright an multicolored, not a lot of values on the lines, the sky has a rocky texture due to the salt I added, has a lot of emphasis on the two bears. c.The mood is very happy, colorful and childish due to the use of colors and they style of the animals and trees. The story being told is two bears traveling together during a starry night. The idea of family and childhood is very prominent in this piece. d. I think that overall it was pretty successful in communicating its theme. The bright colors help emphasize the theme of childhood storybook. Also the use of watercolor style and the drawing style helps it look more childish and happy. QUESTION 9- Illustration FridaysFriday we were assigned spring break so I drew Stormfly form how to train your dragon on a beach relaxing. To show the theme spring break I added the beach, beach ball, and palm trees and drew Stormfly happy to make it look like they were relaxing. The reason I selected it was because I was very proud of myself for drawing it because Stormfly was kind of hard to draw and I was happy when i looked how I wanted it to. Even though I don't think this helped me on the projects I was working on, it did help my drawing skill increase a bit. Question 17-Sketchbook: pick any warm-up from your sketchbook that you found beneficialI picked one of the hand drawings for the warm-ups that we did during the drawing unit. The activity for this was drawing a hand using our own hard so we could get better at drawing hands. The reason I selected this was that it really helped me draw hands and helped me get better a drawing. Question 16- ReDoIf given the opportunity, which project would you do over? If I could do over a project it would be my painting project. The reason I would do over this project is that it did not come out like I wanted to and it had a lot of mistakes. It I could another one my theme would be the animal kingdom, and it would have a lot of animals on a tree or something. I would have spent more time on the trees and made the grass, dirt, and leaves more realistic.
